Disclaimer
Everything on Indefi is educational. Here’s how to read our prices, tools and facts.
Not advice
Indefi explains how crypto, DeFi and Indian rules work. Nothing here is investment, tax or legal advice, and we never recommend buying or selling any coin. For your own situation, speak to a chartered accountant or a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
Prices
Prices in rupees, 24-hour changes and trend lines come from CoinGecko and refresh every few minutes. They are indicative: prices, spreads and fees on Indian exchanges can differ. The USDT premium uses CoinDCX’s public USDT/INR price.
Calculators and tools
- All calculators give estimates using 30% tax plus 4% cess and 1% TDS. They don’t include surcharge for high incomes, and trading fees are generally not deductible.
- The SIP calculator uses past prices. Past performance is not a guide to the future.
- The tax tracker saves your trades only in your browser. Nothing is sent to Indefi.
- You only get a TDS refund by filing your ITR and claiming it.
- For advance tax, if an instalment date has passed, pay its share with the next one; interest applies on any shortfall.
Exchange facts
The exchange safety board and exchange pages list facts we have checked, last on 6 November 2026. They are not ratings or recommendations. “Not verified” means we couldn’t confirm something independently; user reports are recurring community complaints, not verified facts.
News and guides
We check tax and legal claims against primary sources and list them at the end of each guide. Rules change, and where the law is unsettled we say so. Spotted an error? Tell us. Read our editorial policy.
