Phantom wallet guide: using Solana safely from India
How to install Phantom, back up your recovery phrase, receive SOL from an Indian exchange, and avoid the drainer links and fake tokens common on Solana.

Install and back up
Download from phantom.app. Create a new wallet and write the recovery phrase on paper. Phantom also supports Ethereum, Base and other networks, but most people use it for Solana.
Fund it from an Indian exchange
Withdraw SOL from your exchange to your Phantom Solana address. Choose the Solana network. Send a small amount first. Keep at least a little SOL for fees, as every Solana transaction needs some.
Fake tokens and NFTs
Scammers airdrop worthless tokens or NFTs with links to "claim" rewards. Clicking and connecting can drain your wallet. Hide them, and never sign anything from a site you reached through one.
Read the simulation
Before you approve, Phantom shows what will leave and enter your wallet. If it shows assets leaving that you didn't expect, reject it.
